Columbia College Library and The Aesthetics of Research Project, which is dedicated to exploring the role libraries play in the creative process, announces its first annual Little Indie Press Festival on Saturday, November 14th from noon-4pm. Featuring many manifestations of Independent publishing, including indie literature, comics, zines, and book arts, the festival seeks to bring together all manner of publishers under one roof to celebrate the spirit of independent publishing.

We are currently accepting table registrations for participating presses, vendors, and organizations.  We are initially limiting participation to those organizations with a Columbia College connection (however loosely).  Registration is free of charge, but table space is limited, so apply early to make sure you get a spot.  We welcome participants from all corners of the independent publishing world, including small presses/serial publications, zinesters, undergrounds comics, and book artists.  We’re also looking to develop concurrent programming possibilities—readings, discussions, panels, workshops.

Email Kristy Bowen at  kbowen@colum.edu if you or your organization is interested in participating.
