Mark your Calendars!! UNCANNY SPECIMENS is coming!

Join us for a week of programming devoted to the realms of the natural and the naturally, well, unnatural. Uncanny Specimens examines the work of artists employing the natural specimen (real or faux) as part of their practice. We will also explore contemporary applications of such practice, from craft oddities to fine art; from cryptozoology to traditional taxidermy. The week will include an artist's panel, a workshop on printing with nature, lectures/discussions, a city-wide scavenger hunt, and more.

Fall Focus Week is an annual initiative devoted to a particular genre, art form, movement or special interest topic exploring the role libraries can play as a point of resource-sharing, community connection, and creative genesis.
