Really Bad Idea



NOW ACCEPTING SUBMISSIONS

The premiere issue of REALLY BAD IDEA is seeking submissions of writing and artwork from all corners of the Columbia College Chicago community. Visual art, fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction, essays, reviews, art commentary.  If you have it, we want to see it!

An initiative of the Aesthetics of Research, devoted to the role of resources in creative practice, REALLY BAD IDEA is a new zine project devoted to connecting and collaborating across majors, as well as showcasing the amazing creative work of students, faculty, staff, and alumni.

To submit, please send 3-5 jpeg or .doc files to kbowen@colum.edu, as well as brief bio.
We welcome submissions from current and past Columbia students, staff, and faculty.

Public art shenanigans, social experiments, art conspiracies, conspiratorial art, found and stolen materials, old form/new technology mashups, where high art meets low art, where low art meets play. 


Subjects | 

Street art, zines, stickers, graffiti, lowriders, hoaxes/pranks, horror, sci fi, tattoos, junk art, tiki, aliens, taxidermy, paper and book arts, printmaking, comics, sideshows, scavenger hunts, cryptozoology, surrealism ( pop and otherwise), miniatures, the random weird.
