Halloween Double Feature!!

Join us for our regular series exploring the wide world of films available in the public domain, from the classic to the rare, the brilliant to the horrible. Our Halloween double-feature includes art-school favorite Bucket of Blood and a little bit of mermaid horror in the form of Night Tide. We will also have tricks, treats, and some crafty seasonal fun happening while we watch.

A Bucket of Blood ( 1959)
A dim-witted busboy finds acclaim as an artist for a plaster-covered dead cat that is mistaken as a skillful statuette. The desire for more praise soon leads to an increasingly deadly series of works.

Night Tide (1961)

A young sailor falls in love with a mysterious woman, performing as a mermaid at the local carnival. He soon comes to suspect the girl might be a real mermaid, who draws men to a watery death during the full moon.

Public Domainia is a film series exploring the wide world of films available in the public domain, from the classic to the rare, the brilliant to the horrible, including an annual Halloween Double Horror Feature. Screenings offer not only a social opportunity to watch weird and wonderful films (with snacks!), but also an informal chance to work on creative crafts and projects related to the evenings features.
