Thank you to everyone who came out to participate in our TATTOO: INK, ART & OBJECT week.  So many great conversations, so many great writers and artists.  The exhibit will be up through mid-December on the Library's 2nd Floor, so stop by to check it out. We are already at work on next semesters focus topic which we will be revealing soon, so stay tuned!  We will also be expanding to a whole MONTH of shenanigans instead of just a week, which means more goodness packed in than ever...

Call for Submissions--through September 5th !!!

Columbia College Library and the Aesthetics of Research are currently seeking submissions for our TATTOO | INK, ART, & OBJECT Exhibition on display Mid-September through late December.

 We are looking for both 2-D  and 3-D art , including work in other media by practicing tattooists, artists in other media doing tattoo style or themed pieces, and all possible combinations thereof. 

Accepted artists will also be offered the opportunity (optional) to join us for a panel discussion on Tuesday, September 26^th,  6-8pm, about their work, resources, inspirations, etc.

Deadline for submissions: September 5, 2017
Drop-Off Delivery Date :  September 14, 2017

Join the library for our fall focus week devoted to all things tattoo , an exploration of everything from low brow to high, from flash to fine art, and everything in between. September-December | TATTOO: INK, ART & OBJECT, 1st & 2nd Floor Monday, 9/25, Written on the Body Reading, Library, 5th Floor, 6-8pm. An evening of tattoo-inspired poetry, fiction, and creative non-fiction. Tuesday, 9/26, Artist Panel, Library, 5th Floor, 6-8pm.
